Four Generations of Jewelers

1st Generation

Nan Rahim



Born 1893, in India, where she apprenticed in the art of jewelry.  She then migrated to Trinidad & Tobago to continue on what is now 4 generations of jewelers.

2nd Generation

S. Rahim Sr.


Born 1910, in Trinidad. He did not become a goldsmith until his later twenties. He had twelve children, nine of whom also became goldsmiths.

4th Generation

Victor Rahim
Born in 1957,  in Port of Spain, Trinidad. He became an apprentice, under his father, at the age of fifteen. At 22, he won a national diamond jewelry design award from De Beers. He moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1982, and soon after, started his own business, along side his wife, Teresa.

3rd Generation

Sheik Sonny Rahim


Born in 1930, in Trinidad. He is the master expert of the entire Rahim family. His apprenticeship started when he was just 12-years-old.  He was commissioned to create the wedding jewelry for her royal highness, The Queen of England and her sister, Princess Margaret as a wedding gift from the country,  He moved to Toronto, Canada in 1966 where he passed on his knowledge to his son, Victor.

A Royal Connection

Presented to her Royal Highness, Princess Margaret on her wedding day. A gift from the country of Trinidad for her marriage to Anthony Armstrong Jones, on May 6, 1960. Handcrafted by S.S. Rahim.
